Agency Philosophy
We of Calgary Community Day Services are committed to the following principles; Persons with developmental disabilities are entitled to achieving quality of life in all areas of human development including: physical emotional, psychological, environmental and social dimensions. We acknowledge that quality of life is different for each person.
All persons with developmental disabilities should be supported, encouraged and empowered with regards to decision-making and choice. Persons with developmental disabilities are entitled to individual services based on the needs, abilities and aspirations of the individual being served.
Operational Statement
We believe that as persons with developmental disabilities age, they have the right to continue to participate fully in their community. To access quality day programs that meet their changing needs, physically, socially, and emotionally. As such, they have the right to:
